“BE FERVENT IN SPIRIT IN YOUR SERVICE TO THE LORD”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Don’t be lazy when hard work is needed, but serve the Lord with spiritual fervour.” (Romans 12:11)
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavour; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.
There are two factors that determine our readiness and willingness to serve: Consecration and Commitment.
By consecration, we mean dedication and veneration, and by commitment, we mean involvement, loyalty, and engagement.
For every consecration, there is a burden with it. The burden that comes with consecration is actually the cost. For every commitment, there is time investment for the engagement.
The Biblical Cost Of Consecrated Living
- To Abraham, it cost him the yielding up of his son, Isaac. (Genesis 22:6-18).
- To Daniel, it cost him to be cast in the lion’s den (Daniel 6:8-11, 16-17).
- To Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, it cost them to be cast into the hot fiery furnace (Daniel 3:16-18, 19-25).
- To Stephen, it cost him to be stoned to death (Acts 7:58-60).
- To Apostle Paul, it cost him to be beheaded (2 Timothy 4:6).
- To Jesus our Lord, it cost Him to die on the cross of Calvary (Luke 23:33).
Saints of God, what will be or what is the cost of your consecration? Does your consecration cost you anything?
There are factors that hinder us from serving the Lord with our whole hearts such as Fear, Doubt, Unbelief, Lack of commitment, loyalty, and lack of dedication. As Christians, we are faced with great challenges.
Apostle Paul declared that he was ready to meet the challenge (Romans 1:13-16).
May we also be ready by God’s grace to meet every challenge to our honourable service to the Lord in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
O Lord God, Adonai Yahweh, we pledge with total consecration and commitment to serve you till the end in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Everybody shout a resounding, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
