The Word

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“You keep me alive when surrounded by danger; you put out your hand when my enemies rage; with your right hand you save me.” (Psalm 138:7)

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.

There Is Endurance In The Lord. Let me explain what I mean:
In this world, no one can escape from getting their endurance tested at one point or another, even if you chose to stay outside the Lord. You are also going to endure something outside there.

The devil is waiting in the world for you.
There are trials and difficulties in the world too.

There are people who would want to leave their present spouse if the opportunity arises for them to go live with another partner.

Some situations may have become unbearable with your spouse. But if you go to another partner you would have to endure something else or even worse at that place too.

“These in-laws cause a lot of inconvenience in my life”, you may complain. But if you leave them for another partner you would have to endure something else from those other in-laws too.

If you are facing certain difficulties at your workplace, the solution is not to quit.
Do not begin looking for another job, because there would be things you need to endure there too.

There is no place in this world without something to endure. People may have a honeymoon-type relationship with you on the first day or during your first week at the job.

Everyone would smile and welcome you. But after a month or so, you will begin finding out what you need to endure behind those smiles.

1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Be well balanced, be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring, seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith, established, strong, immovable, knowing that the same sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood throughout the world.” Here, Peter was talking to believers.

We who are in the Lord already have some things to endure. Even so, those who are outside the faith also have some things to endure too.

If people outside the faith endure without a reward, we in the faith should have hope and reward in the Lord. We have the vantage position for God’s glory in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Shalom and good morning.
Dr. Daniel O. C.
