“SERVE ADONAI WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH A SERVANT HEART ATTITUDE!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“If someone is serving me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too. My Father will honour anyone who serves me.” (John 12:26)
If anyone serves Me, said Adonai Yeshua, he must continue to follow Me to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and if need be, in dying and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honour him.
- EXAMPLE OF A SERVANT HEART
Elisha when he was called by Elijah, was “ploughing” (1Kings 19:19-21).
This verse indicates that Elisha actually came from a wealthy family. (v21)
The decision by Elisha to follow after Elijah and serve was final. The killing of a yoke of oxen and boiling it for the people to eat symbolised putting behind him all previous ties.
- MINISTRY BEGINS WITH SERVICE
You begin serving God by ministering to people and to individuals.
Elisha began to serve by slaughtering a yoke of oxen, boiling it and giving the flesh to people to eat.
Elisha also poured water over the hands of Elijah the prophet. (2Kings 3:11)
Most people want to step into a big and famous ministry without possessing the servant heart.
Most people want to be in a big ministry than begin by serving others. I began in ministry by cleaning the pews in the church for others to sit. I was among those who swept the floor of the church.
I would go to this particular small church early in the morning to clean the pews before the congregation begin to arrive for Sunday or mid-week services.
I engaged myself in intercession for pastors and others too. I am really grateful to God for all these opportunities.
God Almighty saw the servant heart of Elisha and then blessed him. Elisha was faithful with another man’s goods. Therefore, He will be faithful to his.
Service should not be a substitute to a holy life.
YOU ARE A BLESSED SERVANT OF THE MOST HIGH GOD!
Sabbath shalom and good morning.
