FPT: Narrative of a Disciplined Life
Senior Pastor Daniel O. C. | May 17, 2024
Beloved Saint of God Most High,
Calvary greetings to you and yours in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
“Therefore, I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus, I fight: not as one who beats the air.
But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:26-27).
For that reason, I don’t run just for exercise or box like one throwing aimless punches.
But like a boxer I buffet my body, handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit and not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit.
NARRATIVE OF A DISCIPLINED LIFE
When your intentions are pure, you do not lose anyone. They lose you.
Your next chapter is going to make people wish they treated you better.
Know your limits, know when to give, know when to demand, know when to say no and most importantly, know when enough is enough.
Knowing is not enough, we must APPLY.
Willing is not enough, we must DO.
Being HUMBLE means recognizing that we are not on earth to see how IMPORTANT we can become, but to see how much DIFFERENCE we can make in the lives of others.
Keep your head up in failure and your head down in success.
It requires wisdom to understand wisdom. The music is nothing if the audience is dead.
If you are Not invited, don’t go.
If you are Not told, don’t ask.
Late invites, decline, no harm.
You were never part of the plan. Accept that.
Rumours can make you dislike innocent people.
Do not judge people from what others are saying about them.
Be wise, get to know them for yourself, then form your own opinion.
The one talking to you may be the one you need to stay away from.
The only thing we should ever take personally is Self-development.
Humble yourself enough to know that you are not better than anybody, but wise enough to know that you are different from the rest.
Strong minds discuss ideas.
Average minds discuss events.
Weak minds discuss people.
Humility is a strange flower; it grows best in winter weather and under storms of affliction by God’s grace.
Somebody shout a loud, “PRAISE THE LORD!”
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
