Product Description

This is a topic of interest that will appeal to those who are mission-minded, who want to live according to the Great Commission Jesus has given us.

This teaching takes us to various portions of the Scriptures giving us a convincing view concerning literacy. The Scriptures enjoin us to read the Word in both the Old and New Testaments. One of the principles guiding kings and leaders in the Scriptures is that they need to read the law all the days of their lives so that they may learn to fear the Lord and to observe all the words of the law. It is also an injunction of God that we search the Scriptures and meditate on the Word of God.

Literacy is vital in the lives of everybody for it enables us to study to show ourselves approved unto God. It enables us to understand the plans and purposes of God for our lives so that we will not be misled or deceived.

The following areas are covered in this teaching: the factors that hinder people from acquiring literacy, the Biblical basis for adult literacy in the church, and the merits of adult literacy in the church.

The wholesome preaching of the Gospel and the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the early church was carried out through literacy. Let’s reach out to encourage others to be literate so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will not be hindered by Satan through illiteracy. Don’t let Satan deceive you into thinking that there is no need for one to apply oneself to learning to read and write. It’s God’s will that we learn to read and write so that we can become powerful tools in His hands and be used of Him to impact the world for Jesus.
