The believers in the early church were so sold out to the things of God that they did not count their lives dear to themselves anymore. The true church makes evangelism a priority. It utilises its resources for the spread of the Gospel. In contrast, a false church is characterised by ignorance of evangelism. It does not present Christ to the world. It is only concerned about self.

A false church is a selfish church seeking and receiving the blessings of God but fails to share the joy of salvation with others. A false church craves for material acquisition at the expense of caring for souls that are going to hell.

The Lord is calling you today to commit yourself to be an evangelism pace-setter. Let the zeal for evangelism so consume you that you begin to take your eyes off yourself and start to reach out in love and compassion to those around you. When you begin to preach the Gospel, the Lord will confirm His Word with the accompanying signs. You will see the power of God in demonstration, and you will experience the abiding presence of the Lord.
