Product Description

Restitution is making amends for wrongs done against our fellowmen. It is restoring stolen things to the rightful owners. It is paying back debts, giving back things which one has ill gotten or through fraudulent activities. It is making confessions to the offended and apologizing to those slandered so as to have a conscience void of offence toward God and man.

Restitution is what restricts Christians from doing evil. It is what can discipline one’s life and makes one to live right so that one will not commit evil. Restitution makes one to live in the fear of the Lord.

We receive forgiveness when we confess and forsake our sins. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us. However, God still requires that we make amendments with our fellowmen whom we have sinned against. Making restitution ensures that we have right relationship with our fellowmen after we are reconciled with God.

This teaching addresses issues such as: Is the doctrine and practice of restitution under the law? What is the teaching of Scriptures concerning restitution before the Mosaic law? Where do we find restitution taught in the Old Testament? Where is it taught in the New Testament? What is the teaching of Jesus concerning restitution? Did the Apostles teach restitution? Included in this teaching is also the account of Zacchaeus’ encounter with Jesus and how salvation came to his house because he learned to restitute.

Restitution is part of the moral law of God. It is a doctrine of Christ confirming the Word of God that mankind needs to live right in whatever we do. What happens when man begins to maintain the principle of the doctrine of restitution? How will man’s life be different when man acknowledges the doctrine of restitution in the Bible? What are the consequences of a failure to make restitution? How will it affect one’s progress in the Lord? What happens when one makes restitution?

The teaching in this tape covers all these areas. Highlighted in this teaching is also the area of restitution that is considered to be delicate, e.g., what is one supposed to do in cases where restitution may implicate somebody else.
